Ben Hogan once referred to it as “the black art” whilst Jack Nicklaus called it “that other game”.

The art of putting has mystified even the greatest of players over the years.

The question is why?

Putting is subject to tiny margins error. Sadly, inherent inconsistencies of traditional platforms such as greens, practice matts or other putting aids have made it very difficult to identify stroke flaws. Feedback has always been relatively limited resulting in these stroke flaws going undiagnosed.

Out goes the confidence, and for the more tormented,

in comes a lot of missed putts.

Imagine a putting trainer which strips away all the variables and delivers immediate and accurate feedback on even the most subtle of putting stroke flaws - Allowing you to repeat your putting stroke repeatedly and efficiently.

That is exactly what Richard Rice imagined when he developed the ‘Line & Length’ Putting Trainer.

No more second-guessing, no more doubt. The Rice family are better known in cricketing rather than golfing circles. Richard’s elder brother, late Clive Rice, was an all-rounder who captained Transvaal’s “Mean Machine”, Nottingham County Cricket, Scotland and the South African Springboks. In fact Clive also had the privilege of being selected to lead the South African Proteas out of isolation against India when the ANC, under Nelson Mandela’s leadership, assumed control of South Africa.

Clive understood the enormous value of being able to practise in an environment that gave perfect feedback and allowed repeatability to fine tune technique. Being an avid golfer meant he was massively positive about the merits of the ‘Line & Length’ Putting Trainer.

R2 Golf Science, was started as a family business and remains as such. Richard and his three sons Chris, Nick and Mike are all very keen golfers who’s philosophy in their products is to try and make you a little bit better.

We hope you enjoy the ‘Line & Length”.
